Each entry was committed with one tap, from a position that had already been averaging while you worked. Nothing here was typed by hand, so nothing here can be mistranscribed.
Take it with you
CSV opens in any spreadsheet. GeoJSON drops straight into QGIS or ArcGIS with every field intact. GPX loads into a handheld GPS or Avenza as waypoints. All three are copied to the clipboard — paste them into a file or an email.
The share sheet offers Mail, Messages, WhatsApp, Files — and AirDrop, which needs no signal at all, so a day's data can pass straight to a colleague standing on the same outcrop.
Housekeeping
The journal lives on this phone only — it is never sent anywhere. Export before you erase, and export now and then anyway.
